She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from Marymount College, Tarrytown, New York in International Business and Economics (now Fordham University). She studied Spanish art and literature at the University of Salamanca, Spain. She holds a Master's of Science degree from Syracuse University., Amparo is a self taught folk and contemporary artist and enjoys staging apartments for clients and property owners. Originally from the Dominican Republic, New York City is home to Amparo. She lives in a spacious and sunny, Pre-War cooperative apartment in Washington Heights. When she is not working, Amparo enjoys cooking, painting, going on nature hikes in Central Park and the Cloisters at Fort Tryon Park.
