After receiving his law degree from the University of Oregon, Karl clerked for the Hon. Walter Edmonds on the Oregon Court of Appeals. Karl then obtained his Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York University. At NYU, Karl was a graduate editor of the Tax Law Review and awarded one of six Wilf Tax Scholarships, the school's top merit scholarship.
Raised in Alaska, Karl enjoys Alaska’s outdoor with his family. He has previously worked on the Alaska Railroad and fished the Yukon River.
